I'm sorry to ask a relatively trivial question, but I was wondering
what I need to do to get my quotation marks on screen to look better on
MacOS X. This issue is the same whether I use xforms, X11 qt, or the
new Aqua qt version.
I have slanted quotation marks pointing downward to the right when I
type the first quotation marks, as I would suspect. But when I type
the closing quotation marks, they are straight up and down. The quotes
dialog box shows the same quotes characters, with the right quotes
being straight.
I want the right quotation marks to be fancy like the left ones, except
to point down and to the left, of course.
I can get nice quotation marks in other applications, but when I copy
those characters to LyX, I get completely different characters (Capital
O with an accent), so I assume this is an encoding issue. I tried
different encodings but I didn't get nice quotation marks.
Thanks for any help. LyX on Aqua is great.
