[ freebsd-4.8(OS) + LyX + ispell (american and dutch) ]

I have almost everything in order (I hope) in using LyX with my native
language (dutch). It seems to use the dutch layout. I changed the book,
article and report class into the boek, artikel1 and rapport class and
changed the language in LyX into dutch. Hope this is enough for dutch
layout work.

However, when I call ispell, it gives an error something like
'can't find file for language "NL"' I don't know if this is a LyX error
or one of ispell. Can anybody explain to me what I need to do to have
LyX use ispell with a "foreigh" language?

Maybe the settings in LyX as well as for ispell need changing?
LyX/ispell run on a FreeBSD-4.8R system.

I symlinked the nederlands.hash file w/ nl.hash, dutch.hash, but that
did not help. I may need some env. settings too? Quite confused..
