I have made a template for biological conservation that I use for most of my articles. It is not perfect but it sports single column abstract and keywords. Along with numbered lines and double line spacing etc. It is based on the ejour2 class. However, be warned, I have not tested it with lyx 1.3.x. (I am trying to finish my PhD with lyx 1.2.3 and don't have time to fix my documents if something becomes broken.)
