you shouldn't use dvipdfm. Use pdflatex, it has some advantages.
Herbert,
so far the problem above remains my only one with dvipdfm (some hyperlinks within the text, generated by hyperref, are wrong, but thats not too import. Most hyperlinks are working).
But pdflatex is not only incompatible with hyperref (when counting of tables has been changed, when endnotes are used together with hyperref), but it produces really ugly results when used on floats with subfigures. 2 of my 4 subfigures in my float are not showing on the page at all - dvipdfm places two rows of two in the upper part of the page, and it looks nice).
What are the advantages of pdflatex compared to dvipdfm? Does it make any sense to try to get pdflatex working, if dvipdfm is working more or less okay?
Thanks
M.
