No? Actually this point is interesting.. are there any statistics on the percentage of users in various fields (Sciences, Engg., Arts etc..) who use LaTeX? (a little bit of Googling didn't turn up anything) I've made this change to the slide in any case..
there exists no statistic, but following the discussions on c.t.t and d.c.t.t lets you realize that the users who use (La)TeX for non tecnical documents are not a minority.
