More specifically, I don't think that any of us has access to a c++ development environment on a Win32 machine, so we can't compile the code. If you or any one else reading this does, then you could ensure that the code stays compilable by checking out the code from cvs and compiling it every once in a while. Doing so would also provide us with the incentive to incorporate Ruurd's changes (see his web page) into the main cvs tree. You can check out either the 1.3.x tree (to gain access to the continuing series of bug-fixes) or the 1.4.x tree (it is almost a year since the 1.3.x series was released and we haven't been sitting on our laurels; lots of changes.) I'd imagine that this would lead to regular snapshots of a Win32 binary being made available to the wider community. Feel free to ask for help (presumably on the lyx-devel list). Over to (one of) you... -- Angus
