Well, thanks to Christian, there is now a list http://wiki.lyx.org/pmwiki.php/LyX/LyxFunctions (feel free to add descriptions). > > I currently intend to do a gvim mode, using a startup .vim source to > > customise vim menues and key bindings and adding some lyx interface > > related functions. What I am dreaming about is a keypress bound to "external-edit" that saves the current buffer and starts a (configurable, 'cose I prefer jed) text editor on it. After closing the editor, the file is reloaded into LyX. Then the editors scripting abilities can be used to perform the desired task on the relevant portion of the text. (It would be nice, if the actual linenumber could be passed as well). The reload is already possible with File>Restore (although only if I changed the file after the last save, as the import of external changes seems to be not on the agenda. This means I have to ensure LyX I do not want to save the file before reload too :-( ). I thought, setting an editor as viewer for LyX-Source in Edit>Settings>Converter might give me a View>LyX-Source menu item, but did not succeed. Gnter -- G.Milde at web.de
