"cmex10" does not appear in the font menu of WordPad, nor in any other
application. It seems that Windows does not find these fonts, although
they are installed in c:\windows\fonts. On the other hand I may open,
view, and print the fonts by double-clicking them in Windows Explorer.

A capital "P" appears in LyX. I think the Math Panel really does not
work on Windows 9x.
