I have been trying all day to get a gif or a ps or an eps to show up when I view my document from lyx. The image shows up in the lyx window, but the export or preview to any format do not show the image. What am I doing wrong here?
Do you have the appropriate converters defined for gif/ps/eps to eps or pdf (depending on whether you're generating a dvi in between or using pdflatex to get a pdf directly)? Take a look at the "Converters" section in Edit -> Preferences.. that's probably it...
