I just put in ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.3.4 a rpm for redhat linux 9.There is an rpm in ftp.lyx.org/incoming for SuSE9.0 with srpm.
To summarize, the following linux flavours now have a rpm: slackware 9.1, fedora core 1, mandrake 9.2 and redhat 9.
