I am at present working with Lyx on a thesis and am looking for the best way to get homogenous legends between all figures and tables of the document. Could you please give me some advice on the best way to do that, and how, for a table for example, to insert a legend.
I assume that you want to insert captions for tables and figures. In this case look at the Userguide (chapter 4.3.1 for floats and chapter 3.3.9.1 for the caption environment).
