thanks for the reply. I have deleted additional converters and stick to the list you have given in the mailing list archive. But one more problem... can you please tell me the Converter and Extra Flag for all the converters (because I think I have totally screwed up the converters). For example,
From Latex--> DVI (I put yap but it's not working) From Latex--> pdflatex From Latex--> PDF and etc.
You needn't to correct this manually. Just go into the Windows-folder "documents and settings" where all user-specific setttings are saved. Here you delete the folder '.lyx' (For all users of your system)(LyX must be closed). After that restart LyX and reconfigure it. LyX creates a new .lyx folder and you have the original configuration.
