Exact alignment is out-of-scope for TeX math as math always has 'unbounded width'. So you have to fake it by something like $Right hand side of equation in words$ \\ \hfill$LHS of equation in words$ [Not tested. Idea is to produce the 'flushright' outside math mode] Andre'
