I'm no LaTeX-expert, but in some tips I found that
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
\renewcommand{\thefigure}{\thechapter.\arabic{figure}}
does the numbering the way you don't like it, if put into Format ->
Dokument -> "LaTeX-Vorspann";
so just deleting "\thechapter." does and putting the rest into the
"LaTeX-Vorspann" should do it -I think.
