I'm curious about a minor point of LyX's operation. Under what conditions
is a file listed in the most-recently-accessed list on the File menu?

I'm working on a report and regardless of whether I shutdown X while it's
still displayed or I close that file before exiting X, it does not appear as
number 1 on the most-recently-accessed list. My book, and other files I've
not edited for a long time, are the four displayed.

It is no problem to use the ctrl-o option and wend my way through the
menus to the file, but I've not discerned the conditions under which LyX
determines that a file deserves a place of honor on the numbered list.

Thanks,

Rich
