This is my first post to this list. I would like to thank the developers
of lyx for an excellent product which I use to produce all my papers. I
am having problems at present with the agu style. I downloaded and
installed (in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/aguplus on Linux) all the
relevant sty and cls files from the agu website. After a rehash command
latex finds them and I can use them to compile latex files nicely. After
a lyx reconfigure they are available for lyx (I am using version 1.3.4).
In Layout > document I selected Layout and chose article (AGU++)
manuscript as the Document Class. I also added jgrga as an option. I was
unable to switch off Babel as suggested in the docs- there is no option
for this under Language.
A simple document compiles and displays fine however if I try to add
citations problems occur during latex compilation (message is Undefined
control sequence. hhhhhhhhhhhh \cite{ama00}) where hhhhh is some junk
text I put in. I am using agu.bst for the bibliography style and have
natbib switched off. If I export the file as latex and try to compile
there are references to natbib and it falls over as well. Any advice
greatfully appreciated...
