hello j�rgen, thank you! this solves the problem with citation references in the table of contents. However the numbering of references is still counting the (now invisible) references in the table of contents as the first citations. This leads to the situation where the first visible citation reference in the text is e.g. [4] and not [1] as would be desirable. ciao matthias
