1. I started a new document using the Beamer class, entered the skeleton of my presentation, and viewed it. Everything was fine. I then started entering content. Somewhere along the line (I'm not sure where), the definition of \lyxframeend disappeared. I worked around it by adding \def\lyxframeend{} to the preamble, but I'm wondering if this is a bug, or operator error? The only time I tried using the Beamer template, \lyxframeend was undefined from the outset, and I had to resort to the same work-around.

lyxframeend is defined in the layout, it *should* be there when you
export to latex without further operation.
What verson of beamer class and layout do you use ?

2.21 (dated 6 July 2004).

An addendum to what I said before: starting from a new document (not the layout), things were ok for a while, then \lyxframeend disappeared, so I added the definition to the preamble and things were again ok -- for a while. Yesterday, despite my addition to the preamble, the error reappeared. In fact, I now have it at two locations in the same document (but only two, not every time \lyxframeend() occurs). Despite LyX's protestations, it is non-fatal: the PDF output file is created in the temp directory. My best guess is that something I am doing someplace is offending some minor deity, and this is the result. Per Uwe's suggestion, I'm going to kick this to the package author. If the answer is something not too embarrassing to me, I'll try to remember to report it on the list (for posterity).
