That's not a very productive answer :/. i love kicker. That's like 
saying, "drop lyx and use OpenOffice - it's better."

While it *might* be KDE-related, it sounds more like it's Qt-specific 
(remember, the Lyx Qt front-end doesn't use KDE). i would post it to 
the Qt bugs db. i can't seem to find it on the trolltech site - maybe 
they've taken it offline?

i'm using the same setup, except for KDE 3.2.1 and English language, and 
can't reproduce the problem, or maybe i'm misunderstanding how to 
reproduce it: just select some text and then switch desktops with 
kpager? Feel free to contact me off-list if i'm not trying the correct 
steps. i DO get the odd behaviour that when i switch desktops and go 
back to where Lyx is, it is no longer on top of the window stack, but i 
have no other problems with mousing.
