I have used bibtex for a few years, so I have some experience. I use emacs for entry and maintenance (and yes, I know about at least two bibtex specific editors). All of a sudden, new book entries do not show up in the lyx citation dialog. Emacs says they are syntactically clean and I don't see anything wrong -- only 4 required fields for books and field delimiters are in place. Lyx dialog box searching cannot find the new entries. The problem occurs whether there are other books by the same author already present or not.
This is Fedora Core 2 on an AMD64, fully updated (so maybe the last update of some library is the culprit?). I am trying a rebuild of lyx (1.3.4), but the box is very busy with two long high CPU jobs (load > 4.0), so this will take a while. Any insight helpful. This is 300+ page book and if I don't get this fixed soon, it is all too easy to forget to come back and fix.
