You have to set a fixed width for the column if you want vertical alignment. This is a LaTeX restriction, that is reflected by the greying out in LyX. PS Sometimes I got problems when changing values and clicking in another table cell -- changes got lost. Frequent clicking on the Apply might help here... Günter -- G.Milde web.de
