I have looked at the announce-1.3.5.txt file and nothing jumped out at me as an obvious source of the display difference I see. I ran diff on the convertDefault.sh from the earlier 1.3.4 version and the 1.3.5 version without seeing anything that I recognized could cause the problem.
If screenshots of the same figure in a float within the text in the LyX window of the two versions would help I'll build 'em and send 'em on. I'm fairly certain now that this is a lyx version related "feature" so I'd greatly appreciate help from the developers. I'll do my part by providing information and test results.
