There does not seem to be any such Preference in my version of TeXShop (1.19, just downloaded), though.

it directly from Koch's site at University of Oregon? Google "texshop".
Should be the first site.
It just occurred to me. TeXShop 1.35 only works with 10.2 and above. If Stefano is using still using 10.1, then he is stuck with 1.19, and no support for "update".
