When I replicated all the steps on Windows ME, the LyX configuration did unfortunately not run on the first run - so my unconfigured LyX does virtually find none of the programs it tries to run. I followed the steps of http://www.home.zonnet.nl/rareitsma/lyx/ when installing (getting the minimal MikTeX, the fonts, ImageMagick, ASpell, ghostscript, ghostview and AcroRead; thereafter unpacking LyX). During the first run of lyx.exe it just opened the lyx window (instead of running a lot of configuration and downloading additional MikTeX components as it did on Win XP). Does anyone have an idea what went wrong? I already tried Edit->Reconfigure, running the configure script by hand and replacing the sed.exe. Thanks for your help!
