I don't think that the two statements can be connected Kile is a pure Qt-app so all the magic is handled internally by Qt. LyX is not a pure Qt app so everything must be translated at the boundary bwtween the LyX core and the Qt libraries. Sometimes we mess up. Sometimes Qt do. We have some control over our own mess ups. Note that I'm not saying who's fault this particular bug is ;-) -- Angus
