As I recall correctly, you need to use the RevTex4 article style and supply as a document option the citing style you want, as, "prb" (for Phys. Rev. B), etc. Otherwise, the default of apsrev.bst may not be what you want to see and I suspect this is what is happening to you.
The American Physical Society has a reference sheet on revtex4 on their site. In any case, If you are not submitting to the American Physical Society and you still like their cite style anyway (like me), you can get the old revtex.bst (in google), put it where bibtex will find it, reconfigure lyx, and use it in any document style. I hope this helps Miki "Geoffrey Lloyd" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Hi > > I am writing a paper for a journal and have used their .bst file for the > bibliography. > > It is meant to use the abbreviated versions of journal titles but lyx > seems to use the full names. > > THe files is apsrev.bst > > Any ideas how to force the shortened versions of these things? > > > Geoff >
