Yes, that would be good if the lyx special file for preview could sense if
showkeys was loaded.
I'd rather not go into following another list (auctex), following one is
enough and I'm not using auctex.

Yes I'd like to supress showlabels, the preview manual even says that
should be done when using showkeys package and the like.
(the "option showkeys" was an typo.)

Sure, but that would cause problems when making documents not using
package showkeys.
Or can I have a local copy of the lyxpreview script in my local directory?
That would be acceptable.
I hope for some latex code that alters the behavior of the packages by
putting something in the preamble.
