Did you load the package in each of the chapter-doc's preambles?
Should minitoc work also if there is only one chapter? (have a look at
the doc)

Hi Gunter,
Yes, the package is load for each chapter.
minitoc also work with only one chapter.
I finally could get the minitoc for each individual chapter.
It seems minitoc works only if there is a TOC in the document. I suppose
this is the way to update toc and minitoc information.
what I do is the following :
- put ERT with \dominitoc, and put TOC at the beginning of the individual
chapter.
- run Lyx once : the chapter has both a TOC and a minitoc
- remove the TOC
- run Lyx again. It keeps information provided when constructing TOC, and
display the minitoc as in the final version. However, it is not updated
when I modify the structure of the doc.
When compiling the whole document, I remove the \dominitoc in the
beginning of each chapter to avoid getting the minitoc of the first
chapter repeated on each chapter.
Maybe there is a keyword to force Latex to refresh TOC information even if
no TOC is in the doc ?
anyway it's doing what I want, even if it's not the most convenient way
...
Thanks
