There's some bug in lyx for mac with fink as far as I can see: I noticed some files were missing from the updated config
Anyway here's my fix (assuming /sw is your fink installation directory): Install tetex, ghostscript etc. with fink if you haven't already Install LyX run the Installer script cd ~/Library/Application Support/LyX find /sw/ -name *.cls > clsFiles.lst find /sw/ -name *.bst > bstFiles.lst find /sw/ -name *.sty > styFiles.lst Start LyX Edit->Reconfigure Exit Start LyX All should be well.
