automatically create cross-reference labels for chapters?

It would be nice if chapters could be automatically have labels for 
cross-references.

I saw the article and script for "Mass insertion of cross-references in 
LyX" at 
http://www.karakas-online.de/myLinuxTips/lyx-mass-insertion-of-cross-references.html

But instead of doing cross references I want labels automatically added 
when adding chapters.

Or maybe Insert->Cross Reference... could have an option to list chapters 
and then create label is used.

This would be easier and quicker than having to manually go to every 
chapter and doing Insert->Label... for each.

If this is already available or if you have any suggestions, please let me 
know.
