There is no such entry in the tutorial since the CAS support is very
preliminary at this stage. I.e. you could do 1+2 or even \int x dx
but nothing much more complicated. We basically have the infrastructure
in place but a lot of 'flesh' is missing (i.e. translation of individual
functions into Maple's or Octave's syntax and back).

I hope translations get easier after switching to an XML based file format
when LyX math will used some MathMLish notation internally.

The second hope is that at some point of time somebody is interested in this 
feature so much that he'll start contributing to LyX as none of the
current core developers works on this feature.
