these things strikes me when working with lyx and the beamer class and graphics in particular.
1) it would be really nice if there was an image preview when selecting graphics to insert. 2) graphics do not always load when opening a lyx file -> images just say "Not shown" until you have scrolled up and down several times. sometimes they dont load at all. maybe a load images button was in order - or right-click the image and "force reload"? that would also solve the problem that when externally modifying the image, lyx doesnt know (lyx ought to check for that btw). 3) the scale image selection is confusing. if i select the height and width in some unit, and check the "Maintain aspect ratio" - what is the limiting axis? 4) in particular when working with beamer - i waste a lot of time resizing images to fit the paper. it is quite obvious that i mean the image to fit the slide and not go off the borders. perhaps lyx should help in doing that? martin
