Hello,

I am new to LyX, but used LateX before, so I am fimiliar with some of the
basic functionality and happy with the concept of using a source editor and
viewing the "Binary" later.

We are developing an embedded Linux application, so I am happy again, working
on a 100% Lin workstation. Unfortunately, I have to interface my product
documentation with Win users. Using OO was an option, but adding .eps
schetches (with TIFF bitmap) made in xfig in OO looks very shabby, even
though print format is good. Pdf from OO is also shabby, so I will have to go
the LateX/LyX route and make PDFs.

The company format has a multiline header. I tried something like this using
the fancyhdr stylesheet:

\lhead{Number:\newline 000 001} \chead{Type: \newline IRS} \rhead{Rev: Issue:
Status: \newline 000 000 Prelim}

This works fine for lhead. Works reasonable for chead and shreds rhead
completely. The spacing of the second line is fine, but the spacing of the
first line gets mangled.

I hope someone can help (I have no doubts, though :)

Best Regards

Frans
