SVGA is sufficient, normally. I've heard exorbitant prices, availability problems, etc. I think the projector biz is trying to copy the printer world: sell the peripheral at cost, then compensate with the parts (ink/toner cartridges or,in this case, replacement bulbs). Average lifetime is 1500-2000 hours, taking very good care of the projector (no vibrations, correct switch-on/off etc). Say 200 days at 8hrs/day. John
