I've had this experience with LaTeX docs as well. True, it certainly helps (and perhaps could be expected) that one have some familiarity with LaTeX syntax, etc., but there are better docs that include common examples of implementation, which are much easier to pick up. > In any case, it is working now, after MUCH hassle.
