Subject: BaKoMa fonts for MS Windows

Dear All

I am trying to install LyX 1.3.7 on a MS Windows machine for a friend
(I use Linux), but I do not know where to get the latest version of
BaKoMa fonts and where place them on the computer. Could someone
please help me ?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/LyX136 under "The Installer"
ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/contrib/BaKoMa4LyX-1.0.zip

Your friend should have Winzip installed to unzip them.
Otherwise you will have to download Winzip. Install it
using Start-> Control Panel-> Add & Remove Programs.

Also under Control Panel you will find a folder called Fonts.
Under File, there is an option, "Install new Fonts"
Remember where you unzipped BaKoMa4LyX-1.0.zip
because you will need to browse to that folder to select
and add the fonts. I also check "copy Fonts to Font folder"

I think this is all you need to do. I don't think you need to unzip the fonts into a font sub-folder of C:\texmf, or run Miktex Options, Refresh, or Reconfigure for LyX.
This should get you started,
Stephen
