Add this command to the document preamble:

\setcapindent{0em}

reading the documentation ... ;-)

but where would I find it? I went through all the help docus of lyx.

This is a topic of the koma-script package, so read the koma-script userguide "scrguide.pdf" that should be on your system in the Latex installation subfolder ~\doc\latex\koma-script . (Have a look at chapter "3.6.6 Tabellen und Abbildungen")
