Uwe, In all the years I've used acroread I never did a thing to change the default behavior. So, I didn't know there were preferences that could be changed. Totally irrelevant, but I don't like the new look of acroread. It's too much like a web page in a browser. I liked the older UI much better. Oh, well. Many thanks, Rich -- Richard B.
