My apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but will this
version allow me to decide if I want bindings for the
"C-" key (in *.bind) to be for <ctrl> rather than Apple's
<meta> key? Have any of the people providing this fix
in various versions submitted their code for 1.4?

Perhaps a key remapper utility would serve as a workaround?
http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/

Do you mean to say that LyX and Qt have NO access to the
control key? That's odd behaviour.

MacOS gives me the option of remapping various keys but only
on a system-wide basis. Given that I swap between applications,
I'm looking for something that will allow me to work with my
control keys where I'm used to it, not map the apple command
key there and force me to remap all my other applications.
I find the location of the meta key to be less than optimal on
today's keyboards.

I'll find something. I'm just disappointed that I need to.
DoubleCommand doesn't work on my system. However, it seems to be
a "global settings" panel as well, so wouldn't meet my needs.
Oh well, it was something I needed to do anyway, in order to
compensate for the growing trend towards keyboards that look
nice but are totally useless to those of us to whom the mouse
is an annoyance.

cheers,
Marc
