The file is simply empty. I can open it perfectly in gv, but it shows only a
white page. If you open it with a text editor you can see that there is
only a prolog, and no drawing commands.
This is interesting, because I cannot open it in gv, nor can eps2eps
deal with it. In both cases there is an error:

Unrecoverable error: configurationerror in setpagedevice

Deleting the %... line gets rid of the first message but not the one
about setpagedevice, and I know entirely too little about Postscript to
have any idea how to fix that (if one can).
I know my Ghostscript installation is less than current, and it's AFPL
version rather than the GNU version. On the other hand, that's the same
version that created the document. Would that make a difference in
being able/unable to open it?
