I think so. But the ui needs some careful thought (separation of Roman, Sans and Typewriter fonts etc.; another reason why I didn't happen yet).
Math and maybe Symbol font are missing too. Unfortunately LaTeX is quite unsysthematic in this area. Nice to see you are planning to do it right nevertheless :) Yours, Karsten
