Method 1: With the cursor inside the table, Edit->Rows & Cols->Add row.
(The Edit menu is now context-aware, so you won't see the Rows & Cols
submenu unless you're inside a table.)
Method 2: Right click an empty spot in the menu bar or main tool bar and
turn on the Table tool bar. The first icon in the Table tool bar does
the trick.
Just starting to figure out the new UI myself.
