I don't know. I was just writing an article for a conference using the article class and had to format the text and the bibliography by hand to a certain extent, which I found annoying (especially the bibliography, see below). So I was looking for a class that might approximate the style required by this conference a little better and thought, who knows, maybe the proc style will do a better job. That's all I know... I discovered the existence of this class in the "Latex 2e for authors" by the Latex3 project team. http://www.latex-project.org/guides/usrguide.pdf Actually my main problem is that try as I might, I cannot get the bibliopgraphy to appear without an blank line between each entry. I want to make my article more compact, but it seems the article class forces the bibliography entries to be separated by a blank line... I thought maybe the proc class might not have this feature. But if there is another way to remove the blank lines between entries without changing class, please let me know... -- Alexandru Cabuz Doctoral Student Université Montpellier II France Tel: +33 (0)4.67.14.47.34 --- Please no Word or Powerpoint attachments.
