dear readers,
I installed LyX-1.4.2 on winXP SP 2 (german System).
There is no listing of latex textclasses and latex styles in the dialog!
After installing and reconfiguring there was no textclass.lst and
packages.lst found. After some time, I found these files to be generated
in a hidden directory "Anwendungsdaten\LyX1.4.2" below "Dokumente und
Einstellungen\username"
After changing the "lyx.bat" with the switch
"-sysdir C:\....\LyX14\Resources" these files are placed as expected.
But all of this does not help to obtain a correct listing in the menu
dialog "Werkzeuge-->TeX-Information" -- all time empty! So I am not able
to add customized latex styles and classes.;-(
Any help will be fine.
