More specifically:
* Generate a pdf file with pdflatex; this creates a temporary bbl
file in folder /tmp/
* To find path to bbl file in hidden /tmp/ folder, in LyX do Prefs >
Paths and browse/drill down in temporary directory
* Open the LaTeX file you've exported from your LyX file, delete the
two lines that concern the BibTeX generated bibliography, and paste
in the bbl file
* Submit this revised tex file to the journal
