I use natbib, which works rather well. And on a quick test, numbered (with plain.bst) worked as well. > latex2rtf is also very old ... 1.9.15 is two years old. Not older than LyX 1.3. I agree that its development is not very fast recently, but I have encountered that Scott Prahl is quite open to suggestions. Sure, htlatex is more shiny in general, but for me, latex2rtf usually does the better job, *especially* wrt bibliographies. Jürgen
