I just looked into it again. If you don't need the double braces, JabRef offers an option to automatically remove them when you load a file. In German it's "Optionen -> Einstellungen -> Beim Laden doppelte geschweifte Klammern um BibTeX-Felder entfernen". If you activate this option, load your .bib file, and save it, the double brackets should have gone. HTH, Dominik.-
