a "locales" Problem with lyx 1.4.2

Hello everybody.

when i lauch lyx, i get the following message in the consoled :

Locale fr_FR could not be set

And indeed, there is a problem with french accents in all menus.

configuration :
Lyx 1.4.2 on Debian testing.

Any idea ?
