Hi

I just found out that my problem with the roatation is also gone when I
define a ps to pdf converter in LyX as:

From: Postcript
To: PDF(pdflatex
ps2pdf -dAutoRotatePages=/None $$i > $$o

I guess it might cause problems when this option is not OK and
autorotation is needed, but for me whith graphs from R in ps format, it
seems to work.

That might cause problems for exporting to PDF(ps2pdf), but I am not sure.

I don't think this would affect PDF(ps2pdf), as the To says explicitely PDF(pdflatex). At least in my case, it does not cause any problems.

It would be better if you could tell R to export the graphs with the first
line like

%!PS-Adobe-2.0 EPSF-2.0

and not like

%!PS-Adobe-2.0

I will post this to the R mailing list and see what they can do - I didn't find an option for doing this programmatically.

then everything works automatically, because LyX recognizes them as EPS, not
PS. If R uses gnuplot for creating the graphs this is just the difference
between landscape/portrait mode (PS) or eps mode (EPS).

Very interesting - so I could just change the fist line with something like the command "replace" (comes in Linux with MySQL - very useful!) and it should work?
