No I'm not using Word(well not if I can help it. I normally use OOo as a WP, with "smart quotes" off, but I get some very badly formatted Word documents for internal use. Occasionally it is easier to put them into LyX than it is to try to reformat them into something readable in Word. Normally I would just open a Word file in OOo but some people have so few clews about formatting that cleaning up a Word document is more trouble than it's worth for internal use. LyX handles a lot of the problems very quickly and invisibly.
